Activating an Inventory Mode device

Β 1. Log in to the device as an admin

  • Sign in to the device using an admin account.

  • This must be done from the device you want to place into inventory mode.

2. Open the Account tab and find the activation option

  • Go to the Admin tab, then the Account tab.

  • Scroll down until you see the option to activate this device.

3. Review or update device details before activation

  • If needed, update the device name.

  • Assign or change the site the device belongs to.

  • The site refers to the physical location where the device will be used.

4. Confirm activation to switch the device into inventory mode

  • Press Confirm to activate the device.

  • This will:

    • Log you out of the admin account

    • Put the device into inventory mode

5. Understand what inventory mode changes for users

  • In inventory mode, users are prompted to:

    • Scan their badge

    • Enter their PIN

  • This is the normal access flow while the device is in inventory mode.

6. Exit inventory mode when needed

  • If you want to remove the device from inventory mode later, press the gear icon in the top-right corner.

  • Select Exit Inventory Mode to:

    • Log back in as an admin

    • Or deactivate the device entirely
