1. Print a single item barcode from the item record
Open the specific item you want to label.
Scroll to the Barcode section.
Click Print.
A print preview opens showing the barcode on a single label/page, ready to print on standard 8.5" x 11" paper.
2. Open the bulk barcode printing tool from Inventory
Go to the Inventory tab.
Click Print Barcodes to open the bulk barcode dialog.
This tool lets you generate barcode labels for multiple items at once.
3. Optionally include storage location data in the barcode
Turn on the Storage Location option if you want the barcode/QR code to include location information.
Select the relevant site.
Select the storage location.
This makes scans more informative because the location ID is embedded and can be used to pull in additional details later.
4. Configure label size, orientation, columns, spacing, and margins
Set the label width and height.
Choose orientation: horizontal or vertical.
Set the number of columns to control how many labels print across the page.
Adjust label spacing:
Horizontal gap
Vertical gap
Adjust page margins:
Use the preview/print action to see how the layout will render on the page.
5. Resolve layout warnings by adjusting dimensions or spacing
If you see a warning that the label size exceeds the maximum page width, reduce the label width or adjust margins/spacing.
Once the layout fits, the warning disappears and the labels render correctly in the chosen number of columns.Β
6. Save a preset for reuse
After configuring settings you want to reuse, click Save Preset.
Give the preset a name.
The preset is saved for future quick selection.
7. Load a saved preset later
Reopen the bulk barcode dialog.
By default, no preset is selected.
Choose your saved preset from the preset dropdown.
The saved label settings load automatically, so you can print with the same configuration again.
